I had a pleasant stay at The Bristol Hotel with a great downtown location and friendly staff. However, some aspects like the breakfast hours and minor inconveniences affected the overall experience. Still, the clean and comfortable room made up for many of the drawbacks.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's just a block from the Civic Center and walking distance to the Gaslamp district, making it easy to explore nearby attractions.

Breakfast options were pretty basic and ended too early for my liking. I wish they offered breakfast until at least 11am on weekends, as it was a bit rushed.

The facilities were decent, featuring a coffee machine and flavored water in the lobby. However, I did notice that parking could be a challenge.

I enjoyed my stay at The Bristol Hotel in downtown San Diego. The modern decor and comfortable beds made for a pleasant experience, though I did encounter a few issues, particularly with room service and parking. The location was perfect for exploring the area, but the valet parking was a bit pricey for my taste.

Rooms
8.0
The room was modern and clean, equipped with a nice tablet that allowed me to see visitors at the door. However, the size felt a bit cramped for my family of four and the odd bed sinking issue was not ideal.
Service
8.0
The staff was friendly and attentive, especially Kristina Alvarez, who went above and beyond to assist me with my last-minute booking. However, I did experience some frustration when my room cleaning request was ignored.
Location
9.0
The location is excellent, just a short walk from a variety of restaurants and the Gaslamp district. It was convenient for our business needs and general sightseeing.
Dining

While I appreciated the complimentary continental breakfast, it was quite basic and could have offered more options. The free coffee in the lobby was a nice touch but wasn't great quality.
Facilities

The gym was well-equipped, which was a plus for me, but the valet parking fee was steep and the retrieval time was frustrating during busy hours.

The service was generally warm, with staff eager to help, but there were some lapses, like when housekeeping was not consistently available. I did appreciate that they quickly responded when I had a noise complaint.
Location
10.0
The location was perfect, just a short walk to the Gaslamp District and very close to public transport for easy airport access. It truly made my stay convenient for exploring downtown San Diego.
Dining
6.0
While breakfast had a nice assortment of items, including fresh pastries and dairy-free options, there weren't many dining options on the hotel aside from that. It was mostly continental, so I was looking for a bit more variety.
Facilities
7.0
The fitness center was well-equipped and clean, and I appreciated the provided amenities like towels. However, the lack of vending machines and limited food options were a drawback during my stay.
